For years, Cold Steel has tried to bring to market one of the devastating Chinese styled hatchets used with such awesome effect in countless Kung Fu movies. The Cold Steel version, the Axe Gang Hatchet, is an authentically formidable weapon, not just a prop for the cameras.
It features a drop-forged head, with a differential heat treatment (hard edge-soft body), and a straight, four inch cutting edge (with sharp corners). In addition to that it has a straight grain American Hickory handle with the Kanji characters that mean "Axe Gang".
The sharp corners of the edge will easily pierce the thickest skull and the razor sharp edge will shear through flesh and bone like it was white bread. Plus due to its substantial weight and straight handle, it's easy to throw with great accuracy and is sure to explode any target with the most violent effect.
Fierce Hatchet
This is definitely one of the best hatchets I have ever handled! The balance of the head and handle are perfect for the most devastating blows, and its got enough weight behind it that it feels like it will cut, crush, and chop its way through anything you put in front of it. At the same time, its also perfectly balanced so that you can use the fearsomely sturdy and sharp point that terminates at the top of the blade for very accurate thrusting to gouge an opponent in the face, solar plexus, or in the groin area when you lower your center of gravity by bending your knees to put you in a semi-crouching position. To top it all off, it looks and feels awesome in your hand. The Axe Gang Hatched is beautiful yet fierce in the shape and outline of the head and the handle, and the Kanji characters engraved in the handle give it a powerful and regal look. Just seeing this hatchet in your hand will definitely discourage any would-be attackers by its forbidding fierceness. I totally recommend the Axe Gang Hatchet – especially considering the extremely low price for such an awesome weapon and tool!
